We'll Set Up CaterShift For You

If you don't want to spend time setting everything up yourself, we'll do it for you. Just send us your latest rota and a few basic details about your team. We'll configure your CaterShift site and let you know when it's ready to use.

Option 1: Use the spreadsheet

If you're happy using a spreadsheet, this is the quickest and cleanest way:

  1. Download the onboarding spreadsheet from the CaterShift home page
  2. Fill in your roles, workers, and their pay rates / skill levels.
  3. Save the file.
  4. Email it to support@catershift.com along with a copy of your latest rota.

You'll need Excel, Apple Numbers, or Google Sheets to edit the file. On iPhone or iPad, open it in one of those apps rather than the browser preview.

Option 2: Skip the spreadsheet

If you'd rather not touch a spreadsheet at all, that's fine. Just start your free trial then email us the following:

  • The email address that you started your free trial with.
  • A copy of your latest rota (photo, PDF, spreadsheet, screenshot - whatever you already have)
  • A list of your roles (e.g. Head Chef, Bartender, Kitchen Assistant, Floor Supervisor)
  • A list of your staff and which roles they can do, plus their date of birth, start date and hourly rate.
  • Which country's employment law should apply: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales.

We'll review what you send, set everything up inside CaterShift, and let you know as soon as your site is ready to log in and test.

What We'll Do For You

  • Set up your site and apply the correct employment law for England, NI, Scotland, or Wales.
  • Enter your roles, workers, hourly rates, and basic structure from your rota.
  • Build an initial week of schedules that mirrors how you currently work.
  • If you don't want to watch our tutorial videos or read the help file, we can show you how to copy, adjust and validate future schedules in a short video call.

The goal is simple: you shouldn't skip a trial of CaterShift just because you're too busy to do the initial setup. Send us what you already have, and we'll do the heavy lifting.
